I wanted to share a sneak peek of our wedding photos with you today. Our wonderful photographer is working on the rest of the photos, and we can’t wait to see them! But for now, you can get a glimpse of our special day.
I chose to go with a Boho vibe for our wedding as my gown was very bohemian. The venue was at The Stone House Farm, which is my moms home and the property where I was raised on. – This was something I have always dreamed of doing.
Before the wedding we did a sneak peek at the Briars Resort and Spa in Jackson’s Point. – However, we didn’t see each other. We just held hands and chatted to calm our nervous.
We got married in the back forest of the farm where we had ghost chairs, ferns, concrete planters, and a macrame arch for the ceremony.
Our colours, were basically nature with hints of burgundy and black.
My gown was called the Marrakech Melody by Rue De Seine and I purchased it from Lovers Land, located in Toronto, ON.
The bridesmaid dresses were a replica of Two Birds Bridesmaids but were actually purchased online from a shop called Lulus. – Much cheaper option!
Cocktail hour was held at the cabana located around the pool and the reception was across the bridge in a big white tent!
The decor for the reception was simple. We had a mix of harvest tables and round tables with ghost chairs. For the centrepieces we had garland, with vintage candleholders and black candlesticks spread through the greenery. Our gift favours were concrete pots that we had made with an arrange of succulents and for place holders, we had black wooden name tag cut outs. – They were a hit!
We had both a live band and DJ, and for our late night snack, we had McDonald’s cheeseburgers!
September 8, 2018 was our best day this far. – Mike & Skye Fisher
