Happy Monday, Friends!
Last week on Instagram Stories I shared a cabinet refresh that I was working on.. which turned out beautifully! A little back story of this cabinet is that, it was my grandmother’s and then passed down to my dad and then passed down to me. So… I have had this cabinet for a little over 5 years and have done nothing with it until now!
To refinish the cabinet, I sanded first and then used Beauit-Tone’s furniture and cabinet paint in White Knight (SC136-0). I used a paint brush and a small roller to paint the cabinet. However, I totally recommend using a paint sprayer, as it would be much easier to cover! It took me about 4 coats using a roller because the veneer kept pulling through.
Once the cabinet was dry, I used left over wallpaper from our master bedroom accent wall, and installed it to the back of the cabinet. For knobs, I just used whatever we had around the house, which was black knobs from Ikea.
I do plan on wallpapering the bottom interior of the cabinet too, and eventually changing up the hardware!
I am so happy with the outcome! I think this would look super cute styled in a little shop one day… but for now, we are enjoying it in our dining room!
What do you think!? I hope this inspires you to refresh an old cabinet or piece of furniture that you have in your home! You can also check out this cabinet refresh on my Instagram Stories under my highlights here.
Have a great day, friends!
