Uxbridge Model Home – Powder Room and Kitchen Reveal

Friends!! The Uxbridge Model Home is finally done and I’m so excited to share it with you. For this blog post I will be sharing the powder room and kitchen. Next week, I will be sharing the living room! I have linked all the sources for each space below.

Back in February, I was asked to design the interior of a model home located in Uxbridge, Ontario. The model home is a townhouse style home that sits in a complex of multiple new townhouses.

When designing the model home, I was asked to create a modern farmhouse feel for the interior. So, I worked with lots of dark colours, textures, layers, brass and black fixtures and of course SHIPLAP.

When you first enter the home, you will see a beautiful white shiplap wall, along with two black and brass sconces. The floor is a white wash tile laid in a herringbone design.

Adjacent to the shiplap wall is a beautiful wallpapered powder room with a white pedestal sink and a black faucet.

For each space, I create a mood board. By creating a mood board that both the client and myself agree on, works as a great tool that brings the space together and gives the client a vision on how the space will turn out.

This is the mood board I created for the Powder Room.

How freaking cute is this powder room friends?! I love how how beautiful the wallpaper turned out and I can’t get over the herringbone tile!!! I just think this powder room is so FUN!

As you enter the kitchen, you will see the most beautiful kitchen cabinet colour ever. The colour is Cheating Heart by Benjamin Moore and it’s so lovely. For the cabinet hardware, I did all brass from Richelieu. The countertops and backsplash are a white Quartz with a grey vein which totally makes the kitchen in my opinion. The kitchen sink is black matte and the faucet is chrome. And lastly, to break up the dark cabinets, I added a custom white range hood!

This is the mood board I created for the kitchen.

The walls and the shiplap on the entire main level are Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore.

The wood flooring throughout the townhouse is an engineered hardwood in a beautiful warm wood colour. I wanted to do a light wood floor without making the space feel cold..and this flooring was the perfect choice!

So.. what do you think?!? I LOVE how this kitchen turned out and so far we have had the best feedback! I hope this kitchen inspires you to go bold when choosing your kitchen cabinet colour and gives you inspiration for your next kitchen redesign!
