Guest Bedroom Reveal Featuring Benjamin Moore Paint

Hi Friends! If you remember back in January, I refreshed our guest bedroom. I added a new headboard, some side tables, sconces and a wallpaper accent wall. The refresh looked great, but I knew I would eventually be changing the wall colour as I wanted to brighten up the space.

To paint our guest bedroom, I partnered with my favourite paint company, Benjamin Moore & Co. I am so honoured and absolutely thrilled to be working with Benjamin Moore to share my guest bedroom reveal with you.

Before we start painting, I wanted to add an accent wall to go directly behind the bed. Instead of doing the traditional shiplap, we added a very simple board and batten design. Mike installed the board and batten within an hour, including filling nail holes. We used 9 – 1 inch x 2 inch 9ft boards to create the accent wall. We added a board every 12 inches.

Once everything was removed from the room, the wallpaper was taken down, the accent wall was installed and all nail holes were filled and sanded. The room was ready for PAINT!

To start, we applied one coat of Benjamin Moore Fresh Start High-Hiding All Purpose Primer to all the walls. The previous colour was quite dark, so the primer was necessary. Once the primer was dry, I painted all walls excluding the accent wall, Chantilly Lace OC-65 by Benjamin Moore in the Benjamin Moore Regal Select Premium Interior Paint and Primer Ulti-Matte Finish. Chantilly Lace is my tried and true most favourite white ever. I applied two coats of Chantilly Lace which gave the walls total coverage.

Next, I painted the accent wall Coventry Gray HC-159 by Benjamin Moore in the Benjamin Moore Regal Select Premium Interior Paint and Primer Ulti-Matte Finish which is an absolutely STUNNING colour. It’s the perfect amount of contrast next to the white walls. I also love how beachy but rich the colour looks in this space.

To style the bedroom, I added white bedding to the shiplap bed, some nautical pillows and a tray. I added lots of greenery, the same mirror as before, some beachy wall art and the “stay awhile” metal sign I purchased from target.

This space is so dang bright and beautiful!! I am in love with this room. The wall paint did all the work in this transformation and I couldn’t have done it without the help of Benjamin Moore & Co. I hope this post inspires you to paint a room in your home using my favorite paint company, Benjamin Moore & Co.
